RLC Choirs
Chancel Choir - The Chancel Choir's purpose is to glorify God in and through their music ministry. Our Traditional Music Coordinator, Susie Nunamaker, directs this choir. They sing and lead worship at our 8:30 AM Sunday service, and typically provide one to two cantatas each year. If you love to sing, join the choir for rehearsal on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 PM. (They are currently on break due to COVID restrictions.)
Praise Team - Our Praise Team, under direction of Susie Nunamaker, sings and leads worship with contemporary music at our 11:00 AM Sunday worship service. They often play at special request at memorial services and other events, such as the annual Block Party. They meet weekly at 5:30 PM on Wednesdays.
Children's Choir - The Children's Choir meets weekly during the school year, and they sing at worship services several times a year. They are also part of the annual Children's Christmas program. This group is for kids of any age, preschool and older. (They are currently on break due to COVID restrictions.)
New Member's Ministry
The New Members Ministry team helps to ensure that our newest members are warmly welcomed into the RLC fellowship and are equipped to be disciples who also worship, grow, serve and steward. On the day new members join the congregation, the New Members Ministry team will host a luncheon in their honor. They will also pair the new members up with an RLC Shepherd.
RLC Shepherds Ministry An RLC Shepherd is a new friend who will be there for support and encouragement during the new members first year. They will be available to answer any questions and help the new members find a comfortable place to grow and serve within the congregation. A Shepherd also commits to keep the new members in prayer.
A Visual Lectionary
Have you ever wondered how the scriptures each week are selected? There is actually a schedule of preferred readings compiled by a group of liturgical scholars and denominational representatives. The work is known as the lectionary.
Several years ago, one of our Richland Lutheran Church members began creating illustrations to help bring a visual element to the lectionary. We hope you will enjoy the work of Susan Tackett as the Holy Spirit inspires her to contribute to your Biblical understanding.
